In the Name of Allah, Most Beneficent, Most Merciful

“To All-ah We Belong, and To Him is Our Return”

  1. 1.       The Muzaffar family requests that immediately after the tadfeen (burial) that everyone leaves the grave site, to allow the immediate family privacy to grieve.  Please cooperate with respect to their wishes under these circumstances. They sincerely appreciate your support, presence & prayers.

2. Please maintain silence & recite silent prayers/zikr to ease the transition of the young souls in to the akhirah–after life.  Requested zikr, Allah’s Names,

“Ya Raheemo”, O Most Merciful, “Ya Kareemo”, “O Most Kind”

And Salawat on Prophet Muhammad and His Family as much as possible.

3. Please give personal condolences at the soyem majlis and at other memorial services, due to time and need for private grieving.  Again your presence & prayers are most appreciated. Thank you.

Quran Khwani (Recitation of the Quran for the marhumeen)

“It is one of the rights of a Muslim over another Muslim that he should visit his grave.” Imam Ja’fer As-Sadiq (A.S.)

Upon seeing the graves, one must greet them (with salaam).
Wherever possible face qibla, and recite Suratul Fatiha for all the marhumeen.

On the grave you are visiting recite:

Suratul Fatiha three times, Suratul Qadr three times,Ayatul Kursi three times, Suratul Falaq three times, Suratun Naas three times, Suratu Yaseen and Any du’a asking Allah’s forgiveness for the marhum/a

Respect the sanctity of the grave yard. The prophet (S.A.W.) has said:
“If I have to walk over burning desert or fire or to place my foot on the edge of a sharp sword, I would prefer it to trampling on the grave of a Muslim.”

He also said to Imam Ali (A.S.):
“Ya Ali! Allah considers a few things undesirable for my followers. One of them is laughing in a graveyard…..”
