Bait Wali-e-Asr (House of Imam-az-Zaman a.s.)
On 15th Shabaan 1409 A.H., March 1989, Imam-a-Zamana Foundation purchased a building and 15.8 acre property in Freehold, N.J., located in central New Jersey. The purpose of the building was to conduct regular religious services and programs for Jum’a, Weekend school, Summer camps, Ramadhan, and Muharram. In 1990, the foundation began its weekend Islamic school, Imam-a-Zamana Madrasah. The Madrasah continues to hold its weekly school from 10:30-2 p.m. on Sundays from September through June. Jum’ah prayers continue to be held every Friday at 1 p.m. during Daylight Savings Time and at 12 p.m. from October-April.
The foundation began its services at the center in 1990 for the holy months of Ramadan and Muharram/Safar. During the month of Ramadan, there is a daily iftaar followed by a lecture presented by a visiting Aalim. During the months of Muharram and Safar the shahadat of Imam Husain and his companions are commemorated during the first 12 days of Muharram, and on the weekends through Rabi al Awal. We have been blessed in the past to have our religious services conducted by pious ulema such as Allama Zeeshan Haider Jawadi (marhoom), Maulana Adeeb al-Hindi (marhoom), Maulana Syed Muhammad Askari, Maulana Kalbe Sadiq Saheb, Professor Abul Qasim Saheb, and many others.
